About Us
We are a family of "DIY'ers & re-purposers." Everyone plays a part and being together is what is most important. John, (husband, father, social worker by day) spotted some used lobster rope at our local transfer station and thought, "Hmm, what can we do with that?"... and that's how "Lobster Mats" was born!
All of our Lobster Mats are handmade with genuine, used lobster rope that comes directly from New England's local lobstermen. The majority of our rope is upcycled from Cape Cod. Each one of our mats is unique -- from the various nautical knots still woven throughout the lines to the tiny bit of dried ocean debris you might still find embedded into the rope itself.
With one of our Lobster Mats, you are sure to have an authentic doormat with a story to welcome your guests.
